Choose Me!

For Saturday, May 16, 2026:

John 15:16 NLT, Jesus speaking: “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

Jesus would only choose people he wants to work with. People who have already chosen Jesus have an edge in this department. If people already love Jesus and want to help increase the number of believers, Jesus will assign them a territory to be their battleground. Your battleground and mine are probably different.

Think of signing on with Jesus like a sports draft. Believers have signed on with the “Jesus” team, doing our best to be forever loyal to his cause. Jesus says that the Father will give us whatever we ask for if we use his name. We are to make disciples of all nations and to do everything Jesus asks. The Father rewards obedience!

Jesus commanded us to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and preach the Good News. We understand the assignment. Now let’s get to work!

For Tuesday, November 25, 2025:

Romans 5:1 AMP: “Since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).”

Christians are saved by grace, God’s gift to us, through faith, believing in the Father and his Son, Jesus. On the cross, Jesus took away the sins of the world. Through this monumental miracle, we were given a clean slate, a fresh start, a do-over on living our lives. Prospective believers are asked to commit to a decision of believing and accepting God’s gift of reconciliation. Through Jesus, our sins are separated from us as far as the east is from the west. Our sins are at the bottom of the deepest ocean. In the book of life, the column titled “sin” will be blank. No scratch-outs; no eraser marks; just blank white space.

Believers will find that they have been redeemed, bought back from Satan. Jesus paid the price to rescue us. So now in our minds, we need to discard the image of being a perpetual sinner. We need to look, act and live out the role of someone whose sins no longer exist! Believers are holy. Believers have joined the Jesus Team!

We may not be perfect, but day by day we’ll grow closer to God. Progress, not perfection. Pray to love the Lord more today than yesterday. Accept with gratitude God’s gift of salvation and eternal life. Shout out, “Jesus, I’m with you!”

January 31, 2022 Monday Message

John 15:6 NLT, Jesus speaking: “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.”

If you’re enthralled with who Jesus is and what he has done, the appropriate response would be to help out with growing his Kingdom. If you’re ‘taken’ with the Messiah, you should want to be a part of his action!

Pastor Rick Warren wrote in the Purpose Driven Life that a non-serving Christian is a contradiction. We should more than just believe in Jesus. True believers sign up for the “Jesus Team!” The Intelligent Designer has equipped each of us with unique gifts and talents. Therefore there’s a place for everyone to serve in the Kingdom organization.

Don’t think that your efforts will go unnoticed. Jesus says that a fruitful Kingdom brings glory to the Father, and that pleases him. You’ll have a twinkle in your eye and joy in your heart, and so will the Father! You’ll be filled with love for the Lord, and receive assurance of salvation! You’ll have eternal hope!
