Team Jesus!

For Tuesday, May 20, 2025:

Luke 11:23 NLT, Jesus speaking: Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

There are only two teams competing in the game of eternal life – Jesus’ team and the ‘other’ team. Team Jesus is the good guys, while the ‘other’ team is evil. Jesus’ team has declared allegiance to God Almighty, whereas the evil team is playing for Satan.

There is no neutral team. “No opinion” isn’t a valid answer to the question, “Who will you serve?” Jesus takes all believers under his wing. Everyone else is assumed to be in opposition to our creator. If you’re not moving God’s project forward, the dragging of your feet could be holding things back!

If you’re curious, you can flip to the back of the book and see who wins. The created one will never outplay the one who created everything! Today is the accepted day to sign up for the winning team! Your reward will be a glorious eternity in the presence of the Lord!

May God’s blessings cover you as you go about his work today!

Creator's Team!

For Friday, June 21, 2024:

1 Peter 2:15 NLT: “It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.”

Peter insisted that rulers are sent by God. Governments are sent by God for the punishment of evildoers and for the recognition of those who do good. Believers should be among those who do good!

Unfortunately, there are a lot of ignorant people in the world. Peter is warning us that they will make false accusations against us and put down our faith in Jesus. When we can prove that our motives are honorable, perhaps others will listen more closely.

There is only one Creator, one deity in charge of designing the universe. Everything and everybody else is ‘created.’ If you’ve read to the end of the Bible, you’ll know that good triumphs over evil. We know who ultimately wins, and we should want to be on the winning team. If we unflinchingly support Jesus, he will have prepared a place for us in the hereafter. Stick with Jesus and claim your spot!

Far too many ignorant people will try to take you off God’s team. Satan is still in business, but God is in charge!

Goodness from God!

For Saturday, November 27, 2021

James 1:17 GNT: “Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning.

Let’s wrap up Thanksgiving week. Remember that everything good comes from God, and evil originates with Satan, so we rightly give thanks to the Father for all the blessings in our lives.

Rest assured that God’s position – being the author of all that is good – is never going to change. He is light – he does not switch to darkness by turning away. He isn’t fickle like shifting sands. The Bible says that my God is like a rock – the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Count on it! Count on the author of hope!

The ultimate goodness of any gift must be measured on an eternal scale!

God Always Wins!

November 1, 2021 Monday Message

Job 2:9 ERV: Job’s wife said to him, ‘Are you still holding on to your faith? Why don’t you just curse God and die!’”

Faithful to the end, Job remained consistently loyal to Almighty God, in spite of all the misfortune that had befallen him. He explains: “Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?”

Every word in the Bible is true, and I believe Job’s wife did say these words. But just because it’s in the Bible doesn’t mean we should do that thing. Job’s wife has it all wrong!

Her comment is based on a faulty premise. Think about it - God doesn’t have evil in his repertoire. He only dispenses love, goodness and kindness. Evil originates with Satan, the devil.

If you read to the end of the story, Job is totally healed and fully restored! God is good, all the time! God always wins in the end!

No one is worthless; they can always serve as a bad example!

Your Future!

For Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Jeremiah 29:11 GNT: “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.”

The year 2020 may have been a train wreck in many ways, but God has plans to make our lives better. Are you watching for GOD’s plans for YOUR life?

Remember that good things come from God, and bad things come from the evil one. God can only give you the good things he has: “…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

In The Message, God puts it like this: “I have it all planned out — plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Our hope is in the Lord!

Blessings and safety to all!
