For Sunday, February 22, 2026:
Luke 3:11 NLT, John the Baptist answering the crowd’s question, ‘What should we do?’ “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
These words line up perfectly with Jesus’ command to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Compassion is the order of the day. Some people are blessed with abundance so that they can share with the less fortunate. It’s kind of a God-test. Hoarding resources is not the right answer. Being kind, generous and helpful should be characteristics of a person living a Christian life.
Being ‘Christian nice’ isn’t just for Sundays. Jesus would want us to do the next right thing 24/7!
So friends, love the Lord and love your neighbor. Statistics prove that those who start their day with a smile live longer!
