No More Sorrow!

For Thursday, November 3, 2022:

Revelation 21:4 NLT: “God will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

Surprisingly, God is still in the “construction” business. As we get closer to the end times, He’s creating the New Heaven and the New Earth, both perfect in every way. The New Earth is the final destination for mankind in the life-after-this-life. It has to be perfect because our God will be living among his people!

Everything that went wrong on the old earth will be fixed on the New Earth. If someone died of a disease, it will be healed. There will be no disease on the New Earth. If someone died in a tragic accident, they will be given a fully restored body. The residents will exude love and kindness. With no death, sorrow or pain, there will be no reason to cry. A fully restored face will have a smile!

God will make everything right! Count on it!

New Earth!

For Wednesday, November 2, 2022:

Revelation 21:2 NLT: “I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.

God’s work is not finished! He’ll be restoring the New Heaven and the New Earth, and when it’s all finished God will live among his people! He’s restoring what we lost in the fall from grace. This is Good News for us, because anywhere God lives will be perfect! A city this perfect cannot be created by mankind; it a gift from God!

The New Earth, a believer’s final destination, is about community. We can look forward to a sinless, pure, community of righteousness – a Holy City. God’s desire is to live in close fellowship with mankind, and our purpose is to be a people unto God.

God always gets his way!

Christians Doing Good!

For Tuesday, November 1, 2022:

Romans 12:21 NLT: “Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Christians are known for being good people. Whenever there’s some kind of natural disaster, Samaritan’s Purse is always among the first to respond. Christians build schools and hospitals. In my town, there’s St. Catherine University and Methodist Hospital. Their founders were not shy about letting their Christianity be known. In California, Los Angeles is the city of angels, while San Francisco honors St. Francis of Assisi.

I believe that Paul is advising the Roman Christians to be known as people who do good. The “good” nature of believers shouldn’t be kept a secret. Wear your good Christian nature on the outside, so everyone can see!

Like the song says, “They will know we are Christians by our love!”
